The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) was established in 1976 as a principal planning authority for Bangalore. Its main function is to plan, regulate, and facilitate the development of the Bengaluru Metropolitan Area.

Over the decades, BDA has developed numerous residential layouts, infrastructure projects, and commercial hubs that have defined the landscape of the city. From the iconic Indiranagar and Koramangala layouts to recent major developments like the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout, BDA continues to be at the forefront of urban development.
